Expression Of Agreement And Disagreement

But first, let`s learn a few simple phrases to accept and disagree. The following video classes were included in the determination of the corresponding models: the physical descriptor classes of v_gaze, v_hand, v_head and v_posture (the prefix “v_” in all cases, which represents video observation) and the interpretive class of v_embl (emblems, including various shades of concordance). Table 1 shows the presence of objects that constitute the emblem class: the corpus is the result of joint efforts of researchers who represent computer linguistics, pragmatism, engineering and information sciences and psychology. The project, launched in 2009, aimed at a detailed study of human-human communication in order to make an important contribution to the implementation of different systems of human-machine interaction. From the outset, it became clear that such a system should be multimodal, that is, it should go beyond verbal communication and include gestures that would improve the usability of these systems. It was also clear that the system needed to be able to model bilateral communication. That is, it should be able to be involved in a recursive sequence of interaction events by going beyond simply responding to a request or fulfilling a request – it should “hear” other reactions from the human user, evaluate them and act accordingly. Such a system requires two simultaneously active channels of communication, that of analysis and synthesis, through which actors can continually change the role of spokesperson and auditor. The model we proposed as the basis for our corpus building was followed precisely by this requirement (see Hunyadi, 2011). The nature of bipartisan communication necessarily implies that the actors are freely involved in the given theme and that the flow of interactions allows for the full expression of gestures and emotions. As a result, we designed two types of dialogues: one essentially formal – in the form of a job interview with a number of predefined twists and a second, which is an informal conversation (for better data management, they followed some instructions, but they allowed individual variations).

In order to better understand the possible structure of interaction sequences and to offer useful generalizations, the experimental scheme focused on gymnastics management, variable intentions and emotional generation. The video recordings were made with 111 participants as speakers (60 men and 51 women, aged 21 to 30) and two participants as agents (one man and one woman aged 25 and 28 respectively) with an average length of formal interviews of about 10 minutes and informal interviews of about 20 minutes. The resulting body has a total duration of approximately 50 hours (for other descriptive details of the Corpus cf. P.Pay et al., 2011; Hunyadi et al., 2012). Keywords: multimodality, communication, agreement, theme, HuComTech With these ideas in mind, a detailed note was made on the 222 recordings. The texts of the speakers and their agents represented about half a million common words, and each word was timed in the flow of the given language, a particularly useful characteristic of the body for associating non-verbal events with the corresponding text.
